Career

Moira joined Hool Law in 2017 to head up the Family law department after practising in North Down for many years in this niche area. Moira brings with her an unrivalled level of experience and has successfully dealt with the most acrimonious and high end Divorces in this jurisdiction.  She advises on and resolves the most pressing issues following relationship breakdown in terms of money and children with diligence and pragmatism.  Moira has emerged as a respected Family Law practitioner with a wealth of experience to guide Clients through a most difficult time.

Moira has a strong litigation background with over 14 years of experience in Plaintiff and Defence litigation.  She has a particular interest in industrial injury and employers’ liability claims arising from the workplace such as dermatitis, deafness and asbestos.

Moira  obtained her Law degree from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2001 and completed her professional training in 2003 at The Institute of Professional Legal Studies.  She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in September 2003 and gained entry to the Law Society’s esteemed Children’s Order Panel in 2016.

Personal

Moira’s excellent negotiation skills are used well in family life with her three young children.  Outside work she enjoys running and practises yoga.
